I was fortunate to walk out to a picnic styled by Soirées by Starling on our beachfront a few weeks ago with my husband and friends. We booked to celebrate my best friend’s 40th, and it was incredibly special.

Everything was beautifully arranged, from the place settings and comfortable pillows to the elegant glassware and gorgeous textiles. The thoughtfulness of the details pulled us into the moment and made us feel grateful to be together.

Watching the Sunset Together—with Charcuterie, Wine & Dessert!

We chose to have a full charcuterie spread, and asked for a special birthday dessert. I gave Soirée owners, Karen & Matty, a budget for the dessert and asked them to choose something nice for our birthday girl. They delivered a delicious cake from Gelato & Co. that featured pistachio as the star ingredient—it was amazing.

As the sun set over Seven Mile Beach we enjoyed each other’s banter with the charcuterie, dessert and some wine we brought to top it all off.

We also had some fun with delightfully unexpected touches that Soirée added like the tic tac toe board and a small steel drum.

After the sun set the stars came out, and we all started to compare constellation knowledge. I laid back on some of the pillows to soak it all up. The whole evening made me feel spoiled, and full of gratitude.

I texted Karen and Matty to let them know when we were ready to turn in for the night. They arrived within a few minutes to clean up. It was nice to have the opportunity to chat with them and tell them how thankful we were for the experience.
